A new menu structure makes life so much easier. not to mention the merge of MU and WordPress, new APIs that allow them to easily implement custom backgrounds, headers, short links, menus (no more file editing), Post types and taxonomies. all combined in a light interface with more help on every page. watch the view bellow or go and down load and have a play your self at;
How much do you depend on companies such as google, Face Book, YouTube, twitter….. what if they no longer where around how would this impact your life and would this be for the better or worse? These are just some of the questions we have been asking recently, when sites such as twitter goes down for even a moment we all feel the impact much like when the power goes on our phone or laptop we are left helpless. we all take these as granted. Has any of these companies improved our life or just made it easier?
After much fustration of trying to add tweats i kept getting the whale screen. Can Twitter handle the ever growing users?

On Wednesday Browntree Design attended the internet world convention at earls court 2 in London. We attended the following seminars;
How to Implement a Social Media Marketing Strategy by Bob Barker from Alterian.
This was an interesting talk about building a marketing campaign on real time feed back from customers. By listening and responding to new platforms of communication such as youtube.com, twitter.com, facebook.com and blogs to name just a few. What we found most interesting was a pieces of software Alterian where showcasing called SM2 (www.alterian-social-media.com) this is similar to googles analytic but monitors social networking sites and stores databases of conversation. As a user of the software you can perform searches on any thing and find out what people have been saying. It has many cool features from reporting scheduling and rating of posts. For a free account or as they call it a SM2Freemium sign up today. Although after being very impressed with the demonstration we signed up for a trail and had no success in getting any good results, but perhaps we should have a longer play with it, but see for your self.
A good video about what this seminar was about;
This seminar and all the seminars can be seen at www.seminarstreams.com.
Other seminars included about choosing a Content Managed System was interesting seeing who was market leaders and what to consider when selecting a CMS. Also saw one on how google indexes your site mostly things we know but it was good so be tolf we are doing all the right things. We are going to start researching in to geo-tagging our sites and see if we have more success with local business.
Over all a good day with many interesting stands for more information have a look at
